ClimateIQ

ClimateIQ (climateiq.org) is a free, open-access, AI-powered climate risk assessment tool designed to democratize access to local climate data for under-resourced cities and communities globally. By harnessing new advances in Machine Learning (ML), ClimateIQ provides high resolution information on climate hazards (extreme heat and flooding) through an intuitive, map-based dashboard, and an open-access data portal and APIs. This information equips planners, organizations, and frontline communities with actionable insights to prioritize investments in human, ecological, and infrastructure risk reduction, target emergency responses, and realize climate justice goals for the most vulnerable.

Developed by researchers at the The New School’s Urban Systems Lab in partnership with Climasens, George Mason University, Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, and Beijer Institute of Ecological Economics
